VFR OVER THE TOP
An applicant shall hold a valid pilot license with a valid
medical.
Knowledge: An applicant for a VFR OTT rating shall acquire a standard of knowledge in accordance with the Flight Instructor Standard - VFR OTT
Experience: An applicant for a VFR OTT rating shall complete a minimum of 15 hours dual instrument time of which 5 hours may be instrument ground time. Training shall be done in accordance with
the Flight Instructor Standard - VFR OTT.
Skill: An applicant for a VFR OTT rating shall have reached the level
of skill specified in the Flight Instructor Standard - VFR OTT.
Credits: An applicant for a VFR OTT rating who holds, or has held a
license endorsed for an
instrument rating shall be deemed to have met the Knowledge, Experience
and Skill
Requirements specified above, and shall be issued a VFR OTT on request.
